Biografie – Dario Hulsing

Mijn naam is Dario Hulsing, ik ben 20 jaar oud en ik woon in Amsterdam. Ik zit in mijn derde jaar aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam, waar ik viool studeer bij Maria Milstein.

Ik begon met viool spelen toen ik ongeveer vier en een half jaar oud was. Op dat moment kreeg ik les van mijn moeder, Carmen Eberz. Toen ik negen was, begon Lex Korff de Gidts me les te geven aan de Sweelinck Academie en vanaf 2016 studeerde ik bij Liesbeth Ackermans aan de Academie Muzikaal Talent aan het Conservatorium in Utrecht.

Gedurende de jaren ben ik blijven deelnemen aan inspirerende masterclasses bij Maria Milstein in Italië en in Nederland.

Met mijn strijkkwartet ‘Young Strings Zeist’ werd ik drie jaar lang gecoacht door Alexander Pavlovsky en Liesbeth Ackermans voor de Zeister Muziekdagen. Tijdens deze gelegenheden werden we ook intensief gecoacht door leden van het Jeruzalem Quartet, Casals Quartet en door andere kamermuziekensembles.

In het voorjaar van 2019 werd ik gekozen om deel te nemen aan een project van de Bach Society over de zes sonates en partita’s die Bach schreef voor soloviool, samen met 6 andere jonge violisten.

Bij dit project van de Bach Society gaf Shunske Sato me twee masterclasses en mijn eindoptreden werd gefilmd door een professioneel filmteam in Haarlem. Het live optreden is gepubliceerd op het kanaal van de Bach Society.

In 2023 werd ik geaccepteerd om deel te nemen aan de Grumiaux-competitie in Brussel. Ik heb ook andere masterclasses gevolgd bij Peter Brunt, Ilona Sie Dhian Ho, Virginie Robilliard en Ilya Grubert door de jaren heen.

Dario Hulsing is 20 years old and lives in Amsterdam. He is currently in his third year at the Amsterdam Conservatory where he studies violin with Maria Milstein.

He started playing violin when he was about four and a half years old. At that time Dario was taught by his mother, Carmen Eberz. When he was nine, Lex Korff de Gidts became his teacher at the Sweelinck Academy in Amsterdam and from 2016 on he studied with Liesbeth Ackermans at the Academy Musical Talent at the Conservatory in Utrecht.

Throughout the years he kept on following inspiring masterclasses by Maria Milstein in Italy and in the Netherlands.

With his stringquartet ‘Young Strings Zeist’ he was coached by Alexander Pavlovsky and Liesbeth Ackermans for three years in succession for the Zeister Music Days. At those occasions they were also coached intensively by members of the Jeruzalem Quartet, Casals Quartet and by other chamber music ensembles.

In spring 2019 he was chosen to participate in a project from the Bach Society about the six sonatas and partitas that Bach wrote for solo violin together with 6 other young violinists.

At this project by the Bach Society, Shunske Sato gave him  two masterclasses and his final performance was filmed by a professional filmcrew in Haarlem. The live performance has been published at the channel of the Bach Society and was viewed worldwide.

In 2023 he got accepted to participate in the Grumiaux competition in Brussels.   

Dario Hulsing followed other masterclasses by Peter Brunt, Ilona Sie Dhian Ho, Virginie Robilliard and Ilya Grubert throughout the years.
